The Fatima Rosary

Follow the Rosary from the first Sign of the Cross to the final Amen. Every prayer is here, with Latin beside it and a simple guide through each mystery.

A wooden rosary beside a candle
Before you begin

At Fatima in 1917, Our Lady called for the daily Rosary. This guide follows the traditional fifteen mysteries: Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious. One five-decade set is a daily Rosary; all three sets form the traditional full Rosary.

The luminous mysteries were proposed by Saint John Paul II in 2002. This guide keeps the fifteen-mystery form known in 1917. The Creed opening and the closing prayers follow a common Catholic custom; local customs also vary.

Choose either language for each prayer; you can pray in English, Latin, or move between them. The Latin Fatima prayer is a devotional translation published by EWTN. The original reported text is Portuguese; translations and customary wording vary.

Traditional weekly pattern

  • Joyful · Monday and Thursday
  • Sorrowful · Tuesday and Friday
  • Glorious · Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday

This is the customary pattern before the luminous mysteries. The choice of mysteries may be adapted for the liturgical season and personal prayer.

Your prayer guide

1 Our Father → 10 Hail Marys → 1 Glory Be → 1 Fatima prayer

Changing the chosen set begins a new guide and clears the counters.

Turn then, most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy toward us;
and after this our exile,
